Never mind not being practicable or enforceable, its an EU ruling so must be obeyed. In so any corrupt countries it is the only way to trade or get things done.

So a clampdown will be a good thing, as it will discourage the taking of bribes.

Personally, I see it as a weapon. If you are caught doing something dodgy but there is insufficient proof of the crime itself, they will be able to get you on the cash transaction. Like Capone getting done for tax evasion.

You complain that the Cypriots dont enforce Traffic laws...yet this is what you posted a little while ago ''Noisy mopeds? Pour some oil on a bend when they are around - again not near your house.'' I dont think your in any position on lecturing others.on enforcing traffic law..... Cheers
