Car Licence Renewal - Help!

I'm trying to renew my car tax through JCC Smart and one of the questions is Owner Reference Number. Where can I find this? I put in the last three digits of my Passport but the computer says No.

I can do it with my Cypriot ID card numbers (taftotita), the last 3 digits...

On the registration document for your car towards the bottom you will see something like the extract from my document

{C.9/ Ap. TaUT6TT)TO<; 2/502518357 - A/0000015909/0I (Only this is in greek)

The digits required are the equivalent of the 909 just before the last forward slash.

Which is probably what cyprusmax47 has stated.

Hi Miyagi, We had similar problems a few years ago, realised that we had changed/renewed our passport since the last renewal. The passport number needs to be the same as when originally registering ownership, i.e. You need your old passport number! Hope this makes sense and helps!

On your car registration document ... it's the numbers in the box marked [C.9] on the left near the bottom.

Hi Miyagi, We had similar problems a few years ago, realised that we had changed/renewed our passport since the last renewal. The passport number needs to be the same as when originally registering ownership, i.e. You need your old passport number! Hope this makes sense and helps!

True...i didn't know that Cypriot passport numbers never change which is why everything is done via passport numbers here...never throw your old passport and take it with you when you need to renew stuff like mobile phone contacts etc.
