The history books are full of people like you ............ time to embrace the future me thinks before it engulfs you but just to reinforce your archaic views
Shane
Embrace the future? That's all very well. But when was the last time that you embraced the present?
When was the last time you saw the Rolling Stones live? When was the last time you saw any band live?
Deflecting again keving, you are making a habit of this. (The 52% 48% rule)
When was the last time you told yourself that life is getting better and better?
The last time I told myself that life is getting better was yesterday ...
Two weeks ago I was in Tromso, 250 miles north of the Arctic Circle.
Now I an in Cyprus. I fly back to UK on 15 Feb and on 17 Feb I fly to New Zealand .. and I will be seeing Bruce Springsteen twice whilst in NZ.
The last gig I saw was Roger Waters at Wembley Stadium a couple of years ago. I don't go to live gigs much any more, but I used to go a lot. If I never see a live gig again, that Roger Waters gig will have been a fitting finale, as it was spectacular. I had seen both Roger Waters and Floyd many times before, but that gig was the best of the lot.
Web Designer / Developer. Currently working on Paphos Life.
Living in Polemi, Cyprus with my wife and daughter.

How's your life Shane?
In answer to your questions I have never seen the Rolling Stones, the last "pop" concert I went to was Billy Joel in Manchester several years ago however I went to the Don Giovanni opera in Paphos Harbour last year if that counts & will be going to several of the scheduled events happening this year & funnily enough my life gets better & better every day, especially since I moved to Paphos a few years ago .............. is that enough embracing for you? and a smilie to boot!

Totally agree with Dominic & keving, Obama by a long shot....it's just a pity that the Senate/Congress did everything they could
To thwart many of the things he wished to change.....especially regarding guns
Life is not about waiting for the Storm to pass...
It is about learning to Dance in the Rain
Agree also.
Reagan was a bit of a laugh at times, but not mentally deranged. The GOP controlled him well.
Tricky Dicky was smart, but got too clever for himself.
George W was a bit of a half-wit, but - he knew he was a bit thick. I always remember his comments on meeting the Queen. )
But Trump... he's a real live fruitcake who could launch a nuclear war if somebody criticised the color of his pants - to put it in American-speak.
Nobody denies he was elected fairly. 26 % of the electorate. Fewer votes than Clinton. But that's the American system.
The point is - he is a fruitcake, and only now are the poor American people beginning to recognise this.
I notice that some bookies are not offering odds on whether Trump will be impeached. They are offering odds on what year he will be impeached!
In case anyone hasn't worked out why I have no intention of posting further on this forum I'll leave it to Katie Hopkins.
I am genuinely embarrassed to have ever been involved or associated with such a bunch of hysterical fish wives as have been seen on this forum on this topic I'll now leave you all to get on with it

Listening to the news of police raids in Germany on Islamists planning terririst actions , I would rather have Trump as a friend than Markel , at least he is trying to keep the terrorists out while she is just welcoming them by the tousands

I feel that the combination of canoflex, HIC et al, leads to stimulating, sometimes provocative debate.
I for one would miss him if he were to stop posting.
