€100.000 savings bank guarantee

Hi all
I cant find the old post, but wasn't the powers that be going to reduce the €100k bank guarantee on savings, also, I have heard that people with large savings accounts may be charged for having them.
Has anybody got any information on either of these?

Just had a leaflet in my Hellenic Bank Statements confirming 100K is protected, phew, that's a relief.
