Think I might have found it for you, by panning around Argaka village on full zoom with Bing Maps. It's a large field, with loads of vehicles randomly parked, and a large industrial unit with a green roof. Sure looks the car breakers you're looking for, to me!

GPS coordinates: 35.056855,32.492980
Post Area: 8879 Makounta
Rough directions: On the coast road out of Polis, turn right for Argaka village. At the top back end of Argaka, look for a right turn that takes you south down to the Makounta river valley and will probably (?) be signposted as such.

Your destination is on your left, half way from Argaka to Makounta river (About 600m). Easiest and quickest way back out will probably be to carry on down to the river, then turn right on the track / road that leads north back to the coast road.

Happy salvage hunting! AL :)

Like I said in my reply to the OP, CL. Just zoom in on the area in question with Bing Maps, then patiently pan around until you find a likely candidate site. Then right click for coordinates etc.

@Dominic: Thanks for referring us back to that lovely (and environmentally friendly) blog. Your photo #10 does indeed exactly match my hit on what site kingsdale is trying to retrace. Better still, he'll be able to find it a lot easier by cross-referring to your blog!

All we need now are recommendations for a lunchtime stop off on the coast road back to Polis, after salvage hunting or an SOS rescue mission at the scrap yard. Dare I suggest the "Halfway House" (lunch and afternoon only), or the "Fly Again"???
