The Law is in place, so when someone ie Nova make a complaint that the law is being broken, the authorities have to investigate, the Irony is many many posters on this forum and others call for the Police to crack down on all matter of things, motoring offences etc etc, when the Police do crack down on illegal activities they still moan...

I never started subscribing, but I cannot see CYTA getting the Police to knock on doors of all those expats who do.
They wouldn't have the resources or inclination to do so, anymore than they enforce road traffic laws.
Any doors knocked on will be those of the various providers, as they did in Larnaca last week.
Of course they might surprise us all and round-up all the users also, that would indeed be interesting!
The user would say "he told me it was legit etc etc". One word against the other.
What about in Spain, where there are (I gather) some 2.5 million Expat Brits)?

What they can do is block it, my lad has a paid sub in the UK, every time premiership football is played..his internet provider put a block on the stream, he has got round this by using a VPN.

The article does state Cyta has 500 lined up . Will they be knocking on my door .

In an earlier article, when the raids took place, the Police said they were NOT going after the end-users, but rather the top bods who provided the service.
