I don't think it wise to discuss contracts you may or may not have entered into for a service which may or may not be legal, on a public forum readily viewable by any interested party.

Just a bit of friendly advice.

I've activated 5 new accounts today, which is an unusually large amount. I find it hard to believe that they have all come on board to play I Spy. So just think a bit before you share your thoughts...

The recent police arrests mention the dreambox , is the dreambox not a satalite based system ? So surly would not be capable of receiving Sky broadcasts ?

Those in the know simply rebroadcast from a host satellite and server. They will be in relativley small closed groups who don't discuss matters in public.

Perhaps a little light at the end of the tunnel. I was at a local bar yesterday and the owner's son resells subscriptions and supplies Mag boxes. The owner was away on holiday and the bar's screens were all black. A number of customers who had bought the service were there, bemoaning the fact that they were no longer receiving any channels.

I called a friend of mine this morning as I know he accesses his tv this way. I was going to offer to set his box up with the service I use (which has been unaffected). His channels were all working and so I assume that the system has been "sorted" in some far off land.

Well the system now boots up and I'm getting the program menu. BUT the channels themselves are blank. Progress I think / hope!

Looks like panic over then, and the Police clampdown seems to have abated. Probably a one-week purge like they do with road traffic offences.
All back to normal - but I don't think I will be taking out one of these dodgy subscriptions; don't really need UK TV.

There will always be people selling Dodgy Subscriptions...what might be a game changer is if the courts start .. dishing jail sentences out, that might limit the the amount of people willing to sell dodgy subscriptions here>

I would not say the panic is over yet . If equipment has been confiscated as this report suggest , I would think it will be a while before normal service is resumed .
