Transferwise charging for use of Debit and Credit Cards

Post by galexinda »

Just been advised by a friend that uses Transferwise that they now charge for using a debit card (£3.99) or credit card (£5.89) per transaction on top of their usual fee. Bank transfers and swift are free of charge.

They seem to charge for some currencies, not others.

That may explain the confusion. There is a fee for sterling, but not for euros, if using a debit card.

I just did a transfer gbp to euros , £500 . They quoted a fee of £2.54 , but when the money went through they put another £1 on top .
