Easyjet - new weights for hold luggage

Just found out that Easyjet have change the luggage weight policy.

Of course a new pricing policy to go with it.

We've got new bag options to suit every kind of trip:

15kg bag. The smart choice for a short break.
23kg standard bag. If you're going away for a little longer our standard bag is the perfect choice. Available to buy from 15 November 2017.
Up to 32kg bag. For those who pack everything except the kitchen sink.
*If you made your booking before 15 November 2017 and bought a 20kg hold bag our new bag policy will not affect your booking and your bag allowance will remain 20kg.

The new luggage costs vary depending on the flight as per the figures below, which come from the EasyJet website. My son is flying home tomorrow with a 20kg suitcase booked with the flight, plus 23kg booked after the change of policy. 23kg brings it in line with most other airlines.




Cabin bag FREE online and FREE at airport.

Hold luggage - up to 15kg £8.99 - £29.99 online, not available at the airport.

Hold luggage - up to 23kg £13.99 - £33.99 online, £37 - at bag drop desk and £47 - at boarding gate

Additional weight for pre-booked hold luggage up to a maximum of 32kg - £12 per 3kg online, not available at the airport.
