Can't hep but thinking there is a delicious irony on the sequence Latest News Headlines of the PL home [page this morning:

Cyprus missing recycling goals > don't give tips to bin men > Report highlights environmental wrongdoing > Cyprus to tap an additional €81m of EU funds.

Perhaps some of the more should be targeted for improving waste collection across the island?

I do think people are getting better, but it is still incredibly annoying to be driving behind somebody in a car and see them wind the window down and discard the drink container they have just finished. People like that have no concept of their surrounding environment whatsoever.
