Returning to pets foods topic.
Most people know that many labradors are like 4 legged cannine dustbins! We had one who staying with friends while we were away one Christmas, managed to help himself to a large box of chocolates someone had left on a coffee table overnight! Apparently, he managed to wait until they let him out in the morning when he was sick on the lawn! But he was OK again after that..
We also had a labrador here in Cyprus and when we were out walking near a vineyard could be seen grazing the odd grape for himself when he got an opportunity! It never seemed to do him any harm, mind you the list of things which he helped himself to on occasions even contained worse items than those on your list of forbidden foods! Despite our efforts to stop him. However he managed to survive to the age of 13 years!

A very delicate subject, but as you posted it Al, I hope I dont offend you by saying, we had two family members that died from Liver failer, you can get a away with alot of things when you have a young fit body, but as we all get older the body cant take that amount of drink..hope you sort it out.

There is so much more information out there these days about what can cause problems in pets & people. Years ago things were given to our dogs as “a little treat” & luckily they were no worse off. In fact 1 Of our dogs loved chocolate &lived to a ripe old age but now we know it can be really dangerous. Just like us, some pets are more susceptible than others so it’s better not to take the risk.

Whether people take the risk or not is up to them. However, with threads like this and all the other infographics out there, at lease people can no longer claim that they didn't know about the risk.
