The first performance will actually be shortly, on 19th, featuring Charlotte Rampling.

I'm wondering if they will have guided tours of the new theatre, as they do in many countries; especially as it's new for us locals?

I was surprised to read here that the theatre isn't open. Chatting to a friend yesterday, I heard that the theatre was in use last Saturday for a Pafos2017 sponsored, ticket event. They said the interior of the theatre is very nice and a huge improvment on the old theatre! But unfortunately the seats are really hard! They said that next time they go there they will take a cushion with them!

The Markideion Theatre has been open to the public for Pafos 2017 events both with tickets and without since November 19th. There have been Páfos 2017 events most weeks since. Personally I don’t find the seats unduly hard but that’s just me!
