Good News on Brexit
Good News on Brexit
Things seem to be moving along nicely.
Apparently TM left word that should anything develop she was to be woken up immediately - even if she was in a Cabinet Meeting.

Thanks Shogun.
Good to see progress being made. Sterling should like it too.
I will keep this in the General section for now, as it is important. Please respect this, and don't start the usual guff. There are plenty of guff-friendly threads on the go in the politics section.

Re: Good News on Brexit
John Redwood MP has stated: Everyone needs to remember that this agreement is not the Agreement on the UK leaving the EU. It is an agreement to talk about all matters, and is still governed by the crucial principle that nothing is agreed until everything is agreed.
Re: Good News on Brexit
Actually Redwood is wrong, from my reading of it. Whilst he is correct in that it is not the Agreement on leaving the EU, it is not just an agreement to talk about matters. The report is a list of agreements that would come into play when everything else is in place, on the stated basis that nothing is agreed until everything is agreed. From this report, therefore, we can see what has been agreed regarding our residency (and that of family members), and what has been agreed regarding our healthcare. A remaining question remains regarding our right to work.clive of payia wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2017 3:18 pm John Redwood MP has stated: Everyone needs to remember that this agreement is not the Agreement on the UK leaving the EU.
