Hellenic Bank Peyia

Post by Reesy »

Just been informed that the Hellenic bank in Peyia is closing down in December. I obviously do not know the commercial reasons for the decision , but following the closure of the Chloraka branch I cannot believe the decision. This means the nearest branch is Tomb of the kings , where it is almost impossible to park. Hello Bank of Cyprus..Coral Bay.

Such a shame! Always busy and really lovely staff.
Have been banking with them since 2002.
Does anyone know if they will be keeping the ATM there?
Happy to be back on the Island!

Have people used the Coop Bank ATM or the one near Presto kiosk? Would like to know how much money you can withdraw in one go with a card from a European Bank? At Hellenic it's € 500. At BoC only €200.
Louise :)

We manage to withdraw the equivalent of £300 sterling in euros at all bank atms in Cyprus. We usually use BOC but sometimes JCC machines and other banks including the co-op. We have a santander zero debit card, so no commission on withdrawals and we get the proper exchange rate.
