For those of us 'of a certain age', Mary Tyler Moore will be remembered as Dick Van Dyke's wife, in the Dick Van Dyke Show. She also starred in her own series The Mary Tyler Moore show. RIP.

Whilst serving on a RAF base in Canada with CBC being the only TV Chanel available, the "Mary Tyler Moore Show" was the highlight of the day at 7pm.

I think I read that she and her husband were behind St Elsewhere, and Hill St Blues (one of my all-time favourite TV programmes - excellent storylines, brilliantly acted). Apparently MTM was also nominated for an Oscar for the movie Ordinary People.Re: Mary Tyler Moore dies age 80
