Police search for missing Paphos tourist

Police are searching for the whereabouts of a 55-year-old tourist from the UK who arrived on the island a few days ago and was reported as missing from his hotel on Monday afternoon.

The man’s luggage was located in Kato Paphos, while a jacket of his was found floating in the sea in front of the hotel he was staying. A friend of the 55-year old said that the jacket belongs to the missing man.

The 55-year-old is reportedly suffering from health problems.

A police search for the man on sea and land was interrupted at night fall and is to resume on Tuesday morning.

A 55-year-old tourist who was unaware of yesterday was found dead in the sea.

According to PafosPress.com , the 55-year-old tourist was found to float in the sea area between Chlorakas and Kissonerga.

The unfortunate man came for a holiday in Cyprus and his luggage was spotted in Kato Paphos while he was ignorant.

Oh dear, that is sad news. I have deleted my post with the picture, as it is redundant now.

Incidently, when you post translated quotes, it is ok to edit them to make more sense. :)

So sad, as there were many posts on the various FB groups yesterday from family members asking people to look out for a missing person who had just arrived on the island.
