Moon

Post by PaphosAL »

Full Moon was two days ago, but here in UK, I've just been watching it rising in the East the other side of the M1, and it looks big, golden and glorious.

It occurred to me that a couple of folks up there in Polemi might want to nip outside and try and grab a nice photo of it right now? ;)

While I was out there, I snapped my quaint street light too. You lucky, lucky man.

I got out of bed last night at around 02:00hrs to switch the light off in the utility room shining through the conservatory and into our bedroom.

But hello, no light was on - it was the moon shining through the roof of the conservatory. It went very cold last night apparently so I'm guessing the sky must have been incredibly clear.

Now that is one hell of a shot of the Moon you've taken there, Dom! It's like a shot taken with a camera through a powerful tripod-mounted telescope. AL is very deeply impressed...

Observe the craters and mountainous details top right of your waning full moon photo, on the night divider line, thanks to our Sun illuminating it. I award you 9.5 out of 10 !!!

AL ;)

The moon was rising as a drove home yesterday, it was a beautiful orange colour, lovely to see it. I was going to take a photo when I got home but by then it had gone behind a cloud.
