I imagine that when the dust settles the hotel owners will be given a mediocre fine, and all will be well in the land of Aphrodite!

How would they do that? I would have thought that for plan to be opposed it has to exist. From what I can gather, the hotel was built without such a plan, so there was nothing to object to. I could be wrong, however.

Wasn't there a similar situation with the Anassa hotel some years ago and they were forced to remove the extra floor?

You are right Hudswell, the new Mayor, Yiotis, runs a supermarket since more than 30 years and a jewellery shop as well in walking distance. He is further always pushing that the highway from Paphos to Polis will finally happen...(article CYMail http://in-cyprus.com/polis-mayor-govern ... ndoned-us/)

The same town council were responsible for the Anassa turtle beach wedding debacle!
There were plans submitted - the hotel had planning permission - just not for the number of
floors that were eventually built - five instead of four.

Half the nonsense in this country could be avoided if the various departments actually
communicated with each other or better still cut out half the bureaucracy.
