Not sure what we're up to yet.... Keeping a weather eye out of the window because a visit to Blackpool and a bit of singing and dancing at Ma Kelly's may be in order for the afternoon. Fish and chips to follow before getting the bus back.
Windy but not much rain so far today. Storm Aileen gave us the swerve

As soon as we got off the bus in Blackpool, we popped into one of our favourite second hand stores and came across a beautiful bow fronted glass display cabinet. The sides are also glass and also bowed.
We made an offer and found out it was later accepted at ยฃ20.
So now all we need to do is go back and collect it (hope it fits in the car) and decide what the hell we're going to do with this one!

You will be amazed at what fits into the back of a modern hatchback, with the rear seats folded flat. When two people are helping to get it in (and out at the other end)! Best of luck on this one, Jules! You might need the assistance of local Van Man for this task, though...

We managed to get the Gin Palace into our car but it did split into 2 pieces. If it won't go, we will call on the services of our next door neighbour and his Scoobydoo VW campervan

All 3 of us headed off this morning in the ScoobyDoo van to collect our display cabinet.
Here she is just after she got out of the van in our side yard:
Soooo, we're keeping the decoration on the glass doors but the dark wood has to go.... However, we still don't know where it will go in our house. The end product will make that decision!
