Bee Eaters

Post by Alewfin »

Saw Bee Eaters yesterday in Upper Tala.

Must be on the way back to Africa, earlier than previous years.

I was wondering when they would turn up. I wasn't sure if it was later in the month but then yesterday I had a "memory" come up on Facebook of bee eater photos I took this time last year.

I have a friend visiting from tomorrow for 5 days, and I am really hoping she gets to see some sitting on the wires above my garden.

Must say I feel sorry for the poor bloody bees, who are already struggling to survive through various reasons. The last thing they need are flocks of Messerschmitt 109 birds diving down out of the Sun, devouring them in vast quantities...

Then, there's the price of Honey in local shops to consider as well.

Cheers- AL
