Strict rules for turtle beaches in Cyprus

IN AN effort to protect turtles, the government has issued tough guidelines to the public using the Lara and Toxeftra beaches near Paphos.

Visitors are forbidden from placing umbrellas, beds, tents, caravans and other objects on the beaches.

They are also not allowed to stay on the beach at night and drive vehicles over the beaches.
