Re: Sky News
For anyone having TV problems check out Sports mania/Ultimate mania...£50/£75 a year superb service, you wont regret it.
Re: Sky News
Hi HIC, went to the forums, and found out they are not taking anymore subscribers at the moment, it seems they have had such a big surge in people trying to join up, the great thing with these people is, they will only take on x amount of subscribers as their servers can cope with, Ive been with them for a year and have bought all my kids the package..their sports channels are second to none, you get a choice of all the stations that are showing your match, and the Ultimate mania show both the sports and all the tv channels....you can also subscribe for a few days/week to see what your getting...ive got no link with this company, just a very happy member...Ive also heard there are thousands of people trying to join up just so they get the Mayweather fight next month.Happy in Cyprus wrote: ↑Tue Aug 15, 2017 11:49 am Out of curiosity I just checked out various online links for the above. They don't inspire confidence at all. When I went to check out buying a one year subscription @ £75 a year it simply said:
"There are no products available for purchase. Please come back later".
Re: Sky News

Re: Sky News
Have to agree with Jim here, Alan (emgee). The old satellite that you used to grab 28.2e Sky from on your 3.5m dish has long since been decommissioned. The new one has a much tighter beam and footprint. Meaning a 2m dish to receive it in southern France, and little or no hope of grabbing it in Spain (let alone Cyprus!)

You could think about realigning your 3.5m dish to another Sat, maybe? I'm no expert on that, but possibly Digby from Holitec may want to chime in with a suggestion or two?
Cheers- AL

Exactly the same experience at 6:00am here today during my breakfast in Doha (watching on Youtube via AppleTV) - I am now limited to Al Jazeera it seems (which is not a bad broadcaster per se but I rather have a British choice too). You could try via a VPN tuned to the UK though?
A.
Re: Sky News
Yes, VPN via a UK proxy IP might be a VERY good idea for you laptop streamers in Cyprus (and Doha) to consider carrying on watching Sly News, though I must admit that I haven't ventured down this road personally.
But with this setup, Sly will have no idea where you live in the world, surely? Their systems will assume that YOUR IP is located in the UK, so will send you their feed, yes?
Cheers- AL
