EU travel expenses revealed.

Post by kingfisher »

Some EU travel expenses.....

Jean-Claude Juncker spent £24,000 of EU tax-payers money on a one-night trip to Rome by private jet. However Federica Mogherini holds the record so far at £70000 for a private jet from Belgium to Azerbijan.
Seemingly after a two year battle, campaigners have managed to wrestle just two month’s worth of expenses details out of the EU. Read more…..

Just been reading in the Telegraph. Pretty disgusting behaviour by them, and they wonder why people get so angry and vote to leave?!

Dear old Jean Claude.

Maybe the EU should provide him with a 'Loft Zwéngt' (Air Force One) to match the US President's mode of transport.

I just hope they wait until after Brexit to decide...

Perhaps a "Junkers 88" or Focke from the "European Airforce"?

I've flown on a Focker Friendship numerous times. Quite an experience.

Admittedly miles off-topic, but your comment (Jim B), brought back vivid memories of a friend taking me up from Redhill in the earliest flying Tiger Moth (1929). A biplane, with the charming registration ACDC, I occupied the forward seat just underneath the overhead petrol tank, which was dripping fuel from a leaky tap- quite glad to get down!

Quite so Lloyd. And another very good reason for leaving is that we won’t then have two tiers of politicians-snouts in troughs- robbing us.
At least Westminster is obliged to be transparent. It took two years for the Spanish and Belgian groups investigating this business to wrestle the figures relating to two months worth of expenses out of the EU!
