Stroumbi tavern, Fish and Chips

Post by darrow »

we went for Fish and Chips last Friday, i have to say the fish is the best I have had since being in Cyprus. Big, chunky, white flakes of Cod, home cut chips , mushy peas, or garden, and bread and butter., all for €8. good sized fish, plenty all round, you can order in a special, like smoked haddock, and they will cook a request. someone had asked for liver, bacon and onions and were coming on the following night for it. we have only been for Sunday lunch prior to this but that is also excellent, especially the treacle tart! some friends have been several times for breakfast and say it is also excellent. we will certainly go back for fish and chips again! can recommend if you like good, home cooked English food.

Yes they open for breakfast through to evening meal but not late. I don't know if they do take away, but you can ask, they are very accomodating. Steve and Lynn, 97829020.
