Thanks for the info, Hudswell. Thomson's used to always allow you to book 'cruise only' on their website, then for some strange reason, removed that option. Good to see it's been restored. We did a few Thomson's cruises in the late 1990s, and they were pretty good. The ones you mention, with the drinks package, are very good value. If I wasn't already going on a long cruise in January, I could SO easily be tempted

You'll have a fabulous time, I'm sure. Our very first cruise was on a P&O ship, but soon afterwards, we sailed on the Topaz, which was Thomson's 'flagship' vessel, in their first year of cruising. We went to the Bahamas, had a week in Florida. Car hire was included, plus all drinks while onboard. We only had to pay for our accommodation in Florida. Even though we cruise with P&O, on our favourite ship (Aurora), I wouldn't hesitate to go with Thomson's again. Enjoy your cruises
