Hope he gets locked up for a long time. Putting the lives in danger of the people in these areas and also damaging the wildlife is attempted murder. Also, the lives of the people that have to control the fires. I can only think that he is mentally unstable.

It's more likely to be stupidity than malice or madness, we have neighbours who regularly "weed" with a match and a petrol can.
In spite of the fact we have had significant fires around the village every summer for the last eight years.
On the other hand, perhaps that does meet the definition of insanity.

This sickens me. Fires here are just so horrendous, destroying plant and animal life with no discretion.
Locals should know more than most the terrible consequences, so unless this person has mental issues then I hope the book is thrown at him, not the least for the warning which needs to be given to other crazily motivated people.
