Lets have some good news!!
Lets have some good news!!
Unemployment is the lowest since 1975! The tories must be doing something right and this news has impacted on the pound which is now showing a slight increase at 1.13 plus
This news is not the biased rantings of certain reporters but hard fact.

Also: Exports are up. Employment is the highest since 1946.
All this means the Conservatives have a grip on the economy, which is growing faster than any other G20 Member state's.
A growing economy means more tax receipts for the Treasury and so more to spend on public services.
All this before Brexit - after Brexit UK will have a booming economy which will be the envy of the EU.
Geoff.

Of the G20, the UK growth for 2016 was 1.8, the average was 3.2....Germany was 1.9 and Turkey 2.9
For Q1 2017, the UK is 0.2, Italy is 0.4, Germany 0.6, France 0.5 (although not G20, even Greece is higher)
The exports are very slightly up, but considering the pound is so low, that is actally a poor performance as should be up more...
The pound rose less than 1% on the employment figures, but is only 1.13.... Will help exports in short-term, but cost of materials is higher from abroad. Gold surprisingly, is one of our largest exports at nearly $50bn...... but that’s an in-out export.... we don’t produce.... we trade...
So, Geoffrey, your man in the City has fed you some falsehoods - again....
Re: Lets have some good news!!
You say yourself that exports are up (albeit slightly). Better than being down which is what the remoaners predicted would happen.
They also said unemployment would rise - that we would lose jobs.
Nothing could be further from the truth, unemployment is down and employment is way up.

Well I can apologise for passing on the suggestion that the post-referendum/post-General Election growth was not as great as we had hoped.Jimgward wrote: ↑Sat Jul 15, 2017 9:28 pmI'll accept your silent apology re the growth.geoffreys wrote: ↑Sat Jul 15, 2017 5:22 pmYou say yourself that exports are up (albeit slightly). However it has been a growth, and compared to the decline predicted by the remoaner scaremongers that represents a substantial difference.

The only hole is the one dug by you remoaners. Before the referendum and again before the General Election all they gave us was predictions of falling growth, failing economy, etc etc.
In reality things didn't work out so bad, and things are continuing to improve even more.
How about you apologizing for all the remoaner's scaremongering?
Geoff.
Re: Lets have some good news!!
So, you still wont acknowledge that growth is down, the pound is down, prices are up and unless May stimulates the economy, we are indeed heading downwards.geoffreys wrote: ↑Sun Jul 16, 2017 4:10 pmThe only hole is the one dug by you remoaners. Scaremongering isn’t reporting facts. Speculating could be seen as scaremongering, but if proven correct, then it was actually wisdom.

I hadn't seen this brand either until today

Recommended serving suggestion is:
1 part gin build over ice with 4 parts premium tonic and thin slices of red apple.
Will keep you posted
