Was waiting for weeks to spot a nice one... pics

Post by cyprusmax47 »

This year I have very few butterflies in the garden unlike last year I had lots. I was waiting for weeks to spot a nice one and as I mentioned the other day that more animals appear since I run a outdoor air-con... well today it happened with this nice butterfly. Very difficult to focus as he was very quick moving from flower to flower, never resting for more than 3-4 seconds...

a bit out of focus but I like the colours....

So I wonder if it was my Monster Air-con or just coincidence that this butterfly appeared. Don't ask me for the name.

Great. Pleased to see that they are still around. It is from the family of swallowtails.

Stunning Max. Could you email me the top one in hires please? If you don't mind I would like to use it for one of the main images on the front page of the site, when I next update them.

Nice photos Max, the first brood must be on the wing now as I am seeing lots of Common Swallowtails around! Hopefully, we should get a second brood late August/September!

Lovely
It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.

I had Red Mullet (Barbounia) as they were just caught. I asked about the rare fish I had the week before and it was Scathari. (type of White Bream)

Thank you all for the unexpected positive respond. I was not THAT happy with the quality of the pics. It was very difficult to focus from about 8 m distance as this crazy bugger was so fast, changing directions to the next best flowers all the time and the hot wind was blowing as well.. ;) :)
