I hope you don't mean with "weeds growing": Agave americana is growing in your garden. In this case you are better careful and remove all the side shoots of the plant as very quickly it can overgrow large areas of your garden. If this Agave set a flower, which can be as high as > 5 m,it is on the way to die. (but not the hundreds of side shoots) You can see in the video what can happen if you led it grow....
