thanks Al, i'll give it a go
Nice one, Aquila! If you have a large Bookmarks library built up in your current IE or Chrome, there's a simple way of 'exporting' them to a little file on usb stick or My Docs, and then FireFox can 'import' them in one fast hit. Can save you hours of tedious work re-creating bookmarks manually, one by one.
Another HOT TIP: Try bing.com as your Home Page, it's absolutely stunning, and fast!
Trev- you buy the Daily Mail every day, but neither you nor Hil do the concise nor cryptic DM crossword puzzles, if I gather your previous posts correctly?
Why not scissor them out next day before binning the paper? Pop them into an ever-expanding envelope, and once a month, drop the envelope into Jacs bookshop (Tremithousa)...
That would make around 50 superb crosswords (with previous day's answers) for let's say, €10? Donated to a good cause, of course! Please consider...
It is certainly getting very close to that in Peyia right now RattyPatty
There is a hot wind blowing off the land which means that there is no respite by trying to sit in a breeze! I'm certainly not going to venture out today!

Looks like it will be one of the hottest days of the year. All night it was very hot with temp. of 34c 2am last night with no humidity at all and quite strong hot wind from the mountains. Now 11 am it is even hotter with 37c and 20% RH humidity but sitting in front of my new outdoor air-con blowing cooler 29c at me and my dog it is OK. In this condition with such a dry air the monster needs 15 l of water per hour...

Pat, my car temp has hovered around 37/40 during the week, but today it registered 44!!! I accept that car temps are not totally accurate, but I've never seen that figure on my car temp before!! It's incredibly warm, warm wind even with fans on, everything we touch is warm. In Ollies today with Sue even the glasses were warm two minutes after we were served! It's really horrendous! It's like August, but worse!!
It was 95f (35c) in the shade at our house yesterday evening, even when the sun thankfully dropped down the walls in these concrete bunkers we live kept internal temps high all night, not easy to sleep in either. All our animals are suffering, we try to keep the dog cool with wet towels...

Even up here in Polemi it was an uncomfortable night..
Yes Trev, like me at Tsada Golf area, as you live in Polemi you have the advantage of inland temperatures at the moment and nights will stay warmer than down near the sea. My hottest night was on last Friday with 34c well after midnight. I wonder if today it breaks the record, reading on my weather station right now 12 am: 37.9c/20 % RH Cannot stop mentioning that my Alsatian lives very comfortable in front of my new outdoor air-con unit which is blowing 28c air at her while 10 m away it is 38c It was for me the best investment for years, just in the right time...and so low in electricity consumption (250 W)
