My godson is due to make his first landing at Paphos as first officer with easyJet in the near future, and by sheer coincidence his parents and sister are staying with us at that time. We'd all love to go and wave him in and out of Paphos and find a good accessible viewing spot. Does anybody have any ideas? Bets I can come up with my limited knowledge of roads around the airport is Bonamare - but you can't see the actual landing from there, and I would imagine Rikkos beach is good spot to see takeoff?
Thanks
Ian
Paphos Airport - good viewing spot
Re: Paphos Airport - good viewing spot
Don't worry, I'm not expecting him to wave back! Parents were at Manchester for his first Embraer landing so it would be nice to get the best view we can for them, I've already warned them about the restrictions re the base, so we just need to get the best view we can.

Every Saturday when I have my lunch at the Fish Restaurant opposite the runway of the Army a Easy Jet is landing ca 2pm. So if you want to wait there comfortable with a cold beer you can see the plane coming from Pissouri direction, and above the Restaurant it is already very very low.

Fish Tavern is called Filiotis and when you drive the main Airport road there is a little road to the left (opposite Army) leading directly to the beach and the Restaurant. (this road is the nearest point to the landing strip, 50 meter.)
