Tips for experienced amateur gardener, pics

Post by cyprusmax47 »

If you are fed up with an old almond tree which is perhaps out of shape or you had enough with all the mess and flies around the tree, why not change it into a fruit tree like plums?

This was the tree 2 years ago...

After cutting the tree down in Spring leaving only 4 main stems ( 1.50 m hight ) and grafting it with young shoots of plum trees it looks now like a proper fruit tree.

and the fruits are delicious as not sprayed with any chemicals - but when you wait too long with the harvest you will have enough proteins.

and I don't mind if the bougainvilleas growing along...

What I must admit is that the grafting was done with the help of expert grafter and sometimes even they fail....
