Do ladies more easily shed tears than men
Do ladies more easily shed tears than men
Not exactly a thought provoking question but I shed a tear on a forum post today & it often happens when I listen to a song. My wife on the other hand seems immune to those emotions Best answer I could find is that women have really shallow tear ducts. I don't buy that. Perhaps men prefer not to admit to it. What makes you shed a tear?

Same for me when I listen to a certain song or p.e. the atmosphere of the Manchester concert recently. But this emotions are new for me, they never happened a couple of years ago. I think it is annoying...and perhaps as I am living alone ( with my dog
)

I have found as I age I shed a tear or two very easily.
I think it is expected that men keep a stiff upper lip, but this is not always the case.

I am terrible. Dominic teases me when a character dies in a TV show and I cry. But the female tendency to tears can be frustrating when you are angry as tears rather undermine your argument! I believe crying can be a great release though as can laughter.

If you have a stress disorder with panic attacks it does help a lot...Houdinibun wrote: ↑Sun Jun 11, 2017 10:38 am I am terrible. Dominic teases me when a character dies in a TV show and I cry. She was in floods at the end of Prison Break.
What worries me is that our daughter is desperate to see me cry. It's not that I never cry. For instance, when the rabbit we had whose nickname was houdinibun, owing to his ability to escape, got taken by the local fox, I shed a tear or two then. And when Alex broke her leg badly and I had to leave her in hospital, knowing that there was absolutely nothing I could do to help her other than look after the kids and house, I shed a tear then. But it was on my own.
