Oh golly gosh!!

I mean - this is just classic. Classic Cyprus expat forum stuff.

52 / 48 vote for Brexit. And look at this forum... and all of the expat forums in Cyprus.
What is interesting is why they are as they are.... and the answer to that is in the profile of the average expat. (see above)

Dear dear it gets worse!! Cannot my dear not canot and I think you meant your and not you.
Normally I would never pull anyone up on their spelling but when someone talks about brexiteers being typically lower on the intelligence scale then I think they ask for it don't you?

Oh you're back are you?
Demanding Oxbridge degrees now when you yourself can neither spell weird nor whine.
Highly educated obviously.
I wonder about you OhSusanna....are you a wind-up merchant or merely an obnoxious brat?
Your posts could be from either.
One thing is consistent though and that is they are always nasty and again personal.

OhSusana wrote: Sun Jun 04, 2017 11:16 pm You are the classic case in point, CG.
You told me your life history at a classic car exhibition in Paphos a few years ago.
You completely fit the profile, albeit a little younger than most.

Read what I wrote.
Cameron announced the referendum officially in Feb 2016.
Obviously rumours were circulating a couple of months before....
The pound was at 1.42 - according to you in Nov 2015.
Before the "Brexit garbage"..
What is there that is so complicated in what I wrote that you can't understand Mark?
I mean - this is really really basic. And you simply can't get it!
I am the classic case of what...? :?

Somebody you feel you can insult because they disagree with you...?

Somebody whose personal details you can post on the Internet as though some sort of 'victory'...?

If you want to trade figures, the Pound was worth: -

€1.03 in December 2008
€1.06 in March 2009
€1.07 in October 2009
€1.10 in March 2010
€1.12 in October 2010
€1.11 in July 2011
€1.14 in March 2013
€1.15 in August 2013

So actually, the anomaly is the rise from £1 = €1.13 in August 2013 to the peak of £1 = €1.42 in July 2015 long before anybody believed there would be a Brexit referendum or even though such a thing would ever happen. Not the fall from £1=€1.30 immediately before the result to £1 = €1.23 immediately after...

Perhaps you and your mate HiC could explain that...?

Read my post as you told me that you can read. I said "may have a degree", the emphasis being on may.
Obviously not!!

Mark. You told me your life history. I even have photos from the event. Some great cars there.
Your profile details - they answer your question - but I am not going to fall into that trap, and write things here.

€1.03 in December 2008

You have well and truly lost the plott. [sic]

Thanks Smudger. Looking forward to Lloyds comments on Q.E. by the E.U. I know he takes a keen interest in all things E.U. so would like his opinion.......

I usually disregard CG's posts; they are juvenile, trite and repetitive. And as for going back to 2008 to make a point about Sterling's value, well...
Oh the irony! Lloyd, you constantly post the same repetitive articles, then when someone contradicts these with facts, you ignore them, or start name calling.

I'm not sure I understand your apparent obsession with my personal details nor the relevance to this post...? :?

Still, I guess if your argument relies largely on insulting and putting down those that disagree with you then it is important...?

Anyway, I note that both you and HiC have chosen 2008 to ridicule but ignored the other dates on my post when the Pound was at a low against the €uro... Can you explain them...? Or the peaks between them...? Because they don't seem to fit your 'Because Brexit' narrative...

Extra marks will be given for a reply that contains no personal insults... ;)

Mr. Pot? Meet Mr. Kettle!

Perhaps if you hadn't been posting the same trite and repetitive cries of 'the sky is falling' I wouldn't make trite and repetitive posts pointing out that you were wrong...?

I don't expect an answer, as Jimgym points out when someone contradicts your narrative you ignore them, or start name calling. Quite juvenile really...

Dear Lord, not been in this forum for awhile so just spent time looking back over the posts since I've been away. Clearly I missed naff all except the obnoxious osusanna back with her juvenile personal insults and incorrect statements, par for the course ;)

Why she assumes degrees correlate with intelligence is beyond me. Particularly if she doesn't have one as she intimates. I neither know nor care. Having worked in a senior school for thirteen years I do know that there is absolutely no correlation whatsoever between degrees and intelligence, simply luck and an ability to study and pass exams. Each to their own measures, I would never be so foolish as to equate intelligence with degrees, but then, I don't have one, so I would wouldn't I?? Fortunately for me I do have a qualification which far outstrips a degree, were I so anal about these things. Happily I'm not and content with my lot.

Quite why she's so anal about Poppys comment is also beyond me??? Why not just admit she's wrong, Poppy's right? Ah, sorry, osusanna's never wrong is she??

Errmm, only just about every time

I did challenge HIC some time ago with the proposal that Ohsusana was his alter ego but he denied it. Certainly some similar and some differing traits, both being rude and arrogant but Lloyd can spell!!
However it does seem rather strange that just at the time when Lloyd bemoans the fact he has little or no support for his views she appears again.

Sorry Lloyd I posted a quick reply so no emotives!!
