Wood effect p v c windows

Post by Beachchef »

Has anyone had wood effect pvc windows fitted, and if so what is their opinion after a few years with the sun in Cyprus?

Thanks

Dark pvc doors will expand and contract much more that white pvc doors. This can leave to them fitting badly.

We had brown pvc gutting and the distortion due to expansion was bad, so we replaced it with white.

We had light Oak UPVC tilt and turn windows installed 6 years ago. We have found No deterioration in the quality of the wood grain effect at all. And I have not noticed and expansion and contraction either.
That does not mean that there is non, just that is does no have any effect at all.

We have PVC brown guttering and downspouts, which Are showing signs of the sun fading them.

BUT.. the windows are UPVC.. The gutters are pvc. ie plastic.. I think if I had to do the job again I would go for Aluminium gutters.
