The Meteorological Department forecasts particularly strong winds of up to six Beaufort form late on Wednesday night and through to Thursday morning with more rain and possibly storms also on the horizon.
A Department official told the Cyprus Weekly the strong winds would mainly be evident from midnight Wednesday onwards.
“They are expected to reach five to six Beaufort and will become stronger in the event of a storm,” the official said, adding the Department may be issuing a relevant warning later on Wednesday.
Winds of seven Beaufort are considered to be of “near gale” force.

We were up on Mt Olympus today - 0 degrees Celsius at the very top which could be reached by 4WD or with snow chains. Plenty of good snow there and all the way down to Troodos square too. Kids thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Will probably be going for some skiing on Friday - all 4 lifts open. Much more than back in Switzerland - lol!

No wind and rain now. In fact the sun is out! This time the weather forecast got it wrong in saying today was going to be very wet and windy!

My weather station has forecast very little rain (if any) but gusty. See http://weather.bnellis.eu/forecast/ but this forecast is not for Paphos, but Mosfiloti.
