A closer look at Dom's Akoursos Cave photo definately suggests to me that it's entrance is man-made using cemented rocks. I bet it was a Hermit's dwelling...

The position of this cave on a vertical rock face which overlooks a road below, plus the fact that in the second close up photo it appears to show that cut stone blocks were carefully inserted at the mouth of the cave. They are positioned both above and below the entrance. This suggests to me that this was done to stabilise the ground near the entrance to the cave.
Could it be that this was done to enable a watching person to monitor anyone using the road below? During the time of the "troubles" in 1954-59 and later in the period between 1963-74 the EOKA fighters made good use of caves in seemingly inaccessible but strategic places. Some of the caves and shelters that were used are even marked for the curious tourist to visit now. Though the ones I have seen have been blocked by secure locked metal gates to prevent ingress.
If there is an entrance to this cave, I would look at the top of the cliff, not the bottom.

The 'cut' stone above and below the entrance is just the strata lines of the limestone, if you look at the pulled back shot you can see them continuing in both directions, it's new appearance is just that in recent times (up to 30 yrs) a flake of rock has split off the front face and the underlying limestone hasn't had chance to oxidise and take on the grey/white appearance.
