So for us, it is back to how it was when we first had our panels fitted,by Greenair. In fact,Christos, the owner of Greenair did a lot of lobbying the government and EAC to get units carried forward to the next year.
As already said, Max used to warn people to use up their surplus units in January. Ours were always taken off us in our March bill. This year, we will be heating our pool as high as possible before our meter reading date of 12th April.
According to the Cyrus Mail, the excess will be removed every 36 months, much better than the 12 months which we experienced when our panels were fitted.

My main gripe is, unless an appliance is designed to run on 3 phase electric, if it uses more than your production divided by 3, you are drawing electric from the grid and being charged, albeit only 5cents per kwh for it. Our pool heater, for instance, between March and April, 2023, used 700 kwh from the grid, and we produced 895Kwh from our panels. We exported 540Kwh and used, for heating our pool 355Kwh. This is because the pool heater only works on one phase.
However, our car charger works on all 3 phases, so, as long as I set the charging rate to slightly below what we are producing, I am charging for free.
