Troodos Winter Wonderland

Post by Dominic »

I got up bright and early this morning to drive up to the Troodos Mountains, as they have had snow over the last few days and I wasn't sure how long it was going to last. I waited until the skies had cleared before visiting, as it makes for a much prettier scene. My first port of call was Sun Valley Ski Centre. I have a quick look around there before heading for a walk around Troodos Square itself. I also pop to the Berengaria Hotel to see how that is getting on. There will be a separate drone film on that though I include a snippet here so you can see what it looks like in the snow!

I'm envious! It's beautiful and nice and crisp. I'd love to see Troodos covered in fresh snow, including on the trees, again, it's been a few years now.

Alas, I can't take time off work now to head up there, and there's no point this weekend as it will be far too busy and the snow melting and slushy. I really hope we get quite a bit more snow this winter, but I can't say I'm feeling too hopeful.

How's the new cafe/restaurant at Sun Valley coming along, if at all?
