BOC Sort code
Re: BOC Sort code
The Cyprus banking system does not use sort codes as you would recognise in a U.K. bank. They use the IBAN code which is structured as shown below. To get your IBAN number it should be on the details of your account when you log in on the web or on the phone / tablet app. Should also be visible on your statement.
I’m not sure if when your branch is closed and an account is transferred to another physical branch, whether they both to update the iban or retain it as a reference to the original.
An IBAN in Cyprus is 28 characters long and contains the following components:
Country Code: CY (2 letters)
Check Digits: The first 2 digits that verify the IBAN's accuracy
Bank Code: 3 characters identifying the specific bank
Branch Code: 5 characters identifying a particular branch of the bank
Account Number: The final 16 digits that represent the specific bank account
