Kato Paphos Walk

Post by Dominic »

In this walk we have a bit of a wander around Kato Paphos. First we visit Agia Solomoni Catacomb, which was originally a series of tombs before a church was constructed. It dates back to Hellenic times though is probably most known for the Terebinth Tree that grows above it adorned with ribbons and rags. From here we walk up to the Chef's Garden restaurant, because somebody had asked us to.

We finish with a walk past St Paul's Pillar up to the new museum next to the Church of Agia Kyriaki Chrysopolitissa. We have two bits of good news to report here: first, the museum is due to open in early September. Second, they appear to be starting on renovating the boardwalk around the church and surrounding ruins. I didn't have it confirmed, but they did seem to be busy there. Judge for yourself.
