Paphos Old Town Market Has A New Roof!

Post by Dominic »

The Old Town Market has a new roof! The walkways are now once again shaded, and shoppers can once more shop in comfort. We took a walkaround, so you can see for yourself what the new roof is like.

The long planks with rounds are for baking village bread.

I think the new roof is great & the market much improved.

You missed a covered alley way with lots of "twirly things" hanging from a domed old part of the roof which we came across purely by chance entering the market near Nola restaurant.

According to the owner of the shop opposite the green wall hiding the building work it is to be a boutique hotel.

I can't find the article now but the strange water feature is a renovated drinking fountain.

Another boutique hotel? There will be another one where Aphrodite's Children is.

I saw the twirly things when I was doing a film. Unfortunately the sound didn't record so I will rerecord it at a later date and show them off then.
