medical for renewing a driving licence

Does anybody know how soon I can have the medical for renewing a Cypriot driving licence before the licence expires . Thanks in advance

Your GP can do this for you. If you don't have a GP, only an authorised Cyprus doctor can do this.

Hi Clive thanks for the reply but maybe I did not word my question quite right . I wanted to know how many days , weeks or months before my licence expires I can have the medical for it to remain valid for renewing my licence .

As far as I know you can have the form signed by your doctor up to one month before you go in to renew your licence. But you need to make an appointment to do the renewing

I think that Trev is right 1 month max, if you do it before that they renew your license sooner. If you are over 73 you will also need an Eye test you will get a referral from your PD although I believe some PDs do it themselves.

This made me chuckle re eye tests.

MOH and I went to the traffic department in Paphos, for him to renew his licence. The guy at the desk said to MOH, can you read the number plate of the car outside the window? MOH said, yes, that was it, one licence renewed!
