Currencies Direct

We've used them a couple of times in the last year without problems, but today we transferred a significant sum from our UK bank to an account with them. Under normal circumstances this should only take a couple of hours but it's been more than 9 hours.

Has anyone heard anything about any problems associated with this company? I can't get a reply to my phone calls and so far they have not replied to my email. It's a bit worrying.... I've google's them and there's nothing to suggest they have gone under or disappeared.

I made two sterling-euro exchanges and transfers to Alpha Bank Cyprus last week using Currencies Direct for amounts of less than £5k. Both transactions appeared in our Alpha Bank account within 3 or 4 hours .

We chased them several times and the money came through the following morning. Thanks for responding....
