Grafting old almond tree...

Post by cyprusmax47 »

My Cypriot landlord is expert in grafting fruit trees.

A couple of years ago an old almond tree became too big so he cut it down completely, to an 1,5 m trunk.

So this year one can see the result as a new fruit tree is in full bloom which became a plum tree. (same prune family: peach, nectarine, almond)

At the bottom of the trunk you can see almond tree leaves which need pruning now...

It's cool how an old almond tree can become a plum tree with a little help. Your landlord really knows his stuff.
