Tomorrow last chance for rain this month

Post by cyprusmax47 »

Tomorrow, last day in February, rainfall is forecast, the question is how much and which location...

I posted already that rainfall in January was the lowest in 10 years time, however February was even worse, at least at my place above Paphos.

I measured 3 times rain: 5.2.=3 mm/m2, 10.2.=2 mm/m2, 18.2.=5 mm/m2, total 10 mm/m2 for the whole of February.

So hopefully it is pouring down with rain tomorrow to improve my stat, but I have big doubts about it.

The storage level of our dams shows it all....

Perhaps somebody is interested: rain at my place on the last day of February was.......... 4 mm/m2

So altogether the whole month I measured 14 mm/m2, about 1/2 of the small amount i had in January with 30 mm/m2.

At least, the cold air mass is gone and the swallows came back from their winter break I realised at the Tavern on Timi beach today.

They obviously know what they are doing..... very sad the state of the potato plants around which are mainly flattened.

Yes we noticed that, Monday gone, the growing spuds were very black from the top downwards due to the cold, this was at mandria beach, the field, driving from the closed beach bar, (4.50 a pint Carlsberg) no thanks along the rough road from the beach. Be cautious a lot of dog sh*** about on beach.

no need to shout, (are) there use to be signs no dogs allowed on (beach area which are mainly stones) now signs are missing, I think the dogs could be walked where the rough road bit is, but the majority of owners do bag it.
