Personally I have always found Konnos a bit of a pain. The hassle of finding somewhere to park without getting blocked in takes the edge off it. Plus last time I went swimming there they had a swarm of jelly fish.

I was surprised with the other beach. I've never visited it as it is surrounded by a hotel complex and to be honest, I never even knew it was there. But it will give Fig Tree and Nissi Beach something to think about. My presonal faves on the East Coast are Green Bay in Protaras and Armyropigado Beach up near the Dog Beach.

We visited konnos over 50 years ago when there was no road and only locals knew about it, mckenzy beach in larnaca is very good with plenty of parking, lifeguards, restaurants, toilets, clean sand etc etc
