Just watching a programme on Akratori and how many families return to live on the island.
Just wondering how many of our members have done so

Yes, first came to Cyprus in September 1961 and then with the United Nations in 1974 and finally to live in 2001. Changed an awful lot.

Yes, stationed at Akrotiri from 1968 to 1970. Had a number of detachments back to Cyprus during the 80s. When I left the RAF I worked in the UAE between 1989 and 2007 and we often flew back to UK on Cyprus Airways changing flights at Larnaca so we would break the journey with a stop over in Cyprus. We bought a house here in Paphos in 2003 and finally settled here back in 2007. Seen many many changes over that time!
