Pedal cyclists.

Dispute at the pub board meeting....Do pedal cyclists have to wear a helmet by law :?

Yes they do, I cycle and the law came in a year or two ago, as do scooter riders

Yes, but it is one of those laws that seems quite flexible. Similar to crash helmets on motorbikes.

Yes we do have to wear helmets. Also, according to the new law we are supposed to have lights on, even during daylight hours. I have a Garmin back light. It has a bluetooth connection to my phone, which is in a phone holder on my handle bars. Ican see what is behind me on the phone screen. It has improved my safety by 100%.
I also wear flourscent clothing. In the bright sunshine of Cyprus, especially on roads with trees, cyclists who wear dark clothing cannot be seen in the shadows of trees, especially on bright days.

I got it off Amazon UK on Amazon Prime day a couple of years ago. However, Ride Easy in Paphos, Tel. No +357 26 220803 have had them in. There is also a Garmin shop in Limassol and they have them in stock for €199.99, which is only a bit more than amazon prices
