Paphos Sea Front Between The Storms

Post by Dominic »

This is the main drone footage we took during the storms of December 30th. The colours in the clouds are amazing but the rain held off long enough for us to have a sweep of the Sea Front and Harbour. While I am here, I will once again wish everybody a Happy and Safe New Year, and look forward to providing you with hours of entertaining footage in the days, weeks and months to come. Cheers!

8-) Good to see it from above!

It's a long time since we left the island - over 8 and a half years now and we haven't yet returned.

We were contemplating a visit this year for a particular occasion (nothing to do with us) but it would have to be in the middle of August and the prices are absolutely ridiculous so it doesn't look as if it will happen - unless we find a steal of a deal at the last minute.

I do see your posts, Dominic on the We Love Cyprus ☀️ facebook group, I post under the name (Littlemantravels) our squeaky dog toy travel mascot, which was Ruby the Rotties one and only toy that she liked during the 11yrs she was with us.

I have seen some footage and photos from the various weather which has hit the Med and of course, many other destinations during 2024.

We were chasing bad weather during our Cote d'Azur to Cinque Terre on the Italian Riviera on the Ligurian coast in the latter end of September.
We did amazingly well to miss it and it didn't mess up our trip - until the very last afternoon as we were heading back to NCE airport that evening. Got absolutely soaked right through to our underwear on the way back to our hotel to collect our baggage and had to be given access to the staff bathroom on the upper level so we could change into dry clothing - otherwise, they wouldn't have allowed us on the flight!

I do pop on here on occasion, so whilst I'm here - I shall have a mooch and see what I've missed

Before we moved here permanently my wife badly broke her leg. We were in the process of finding our favoured area to live in, so still had visits to Cyprus booked. I remember having to push her around in the wheelchair. With a child in tow as well it could get quite stressful at the airport. I remember the shower room at Larnaca Airport Business Lounge became a refuge for me. I could go have a shower an just sit there for 10 minutes in solitude.

I don't know why, but your damp airport story reminded me of that shower cubicle! Anyway, nice to see you around. Enjoy your mooch.
